Brief Description:The Evaluation Center, in collaboration with the WMU Kercher Center for Social Research, is conducting a study of compulsive gambling in Michigan. The study, which is a partial replication of a study completed in June 1997, is designed to determine (1) the extent of gambling addiction among Michigan citizens as concerns both legal and illegal gambling, and (2) the incidence of different forms of gambling for persons 18 and older, including lottery, race tracks, and casinos. Data for this study will be collected through a telephone survey of 1,600 adults across the state of Michigan.
